At Emphasys HFA (Housing Finance Agency), a division of Emphasys, we build and support the only end-to-end financial software in the U.S. dedicated to affordable housing. As the largest full-service provider in this space, we enable State Housing Finance Agencies and other public organizations to administer programs that help families access affordable homeownership or rental housing. Our solutions power the financial backbone that processes funding, manages compliance, and ensures every dollar of support is tracked and maximized.

Who we need

Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, we are looking for a Housing & Financial Software Implementation Consultant to join our team. Although we have offices in Pembroke Pines, FL and Lafayette, CA, this is a remote role within the US.

As our new Housing & Financial Software Implementation Consultant, you will work with clients, replacing legacy systems and manual processes with our software improving accuracy, efficiency, and transparency. You will play a critical role ensuring that resources reach those who need them most.

What you will focus on:

• Implement and configure. You will lead the end-to-end implementation of Emphasys solutions for assigned clients. You will handle everything from project set-up and scheduling to configuration, training, and documentation, ensuring a smooth transition to our products.
   
• Engage and train. You will run remote meetings, webinars, and training sessions that build user confidence and adoption. You will occasionally travel for client engagements, including our annual customer conference each October.
   
• Support and test. You will provide Tier 2 escalation support and  assist with testing new releases. You will contribute insights to developers for continuous improvement.
   
• Consult and advise. You will review client workflows, recommend best practices, and guide organizations through process improvements. You may also participate in product demos and proposals to support the sales process.
   
• Document and deliver. You will prepare project documentation, maintain progress tracking using internal tools, and ensure milestones are delivered on time and on budget.

What you bring: 

• Domain knowledge. You understand public housing processes such as rent calculation, recertification, work order management, occupancy, compliance, and resident services. This knowledge is more important than deep technical expertise, though you should have the aptitude to configure software solutions.
   
• The experience. You may come from a Public Housing Authority, non-profit, SaaS, ERP, or government environment. You can manage multiple priorities, schedule meetings, track tasks, and keep projects moving forward using standard tools and PMI methodologies. We are open to both professionals seeking a step into leadership and those with housing experience looking to grow into software consulting.
   
• The technical skills. You have a basic familiarity with databases and data structures, and an understanding of how integrations work at a high level. Prior software implementation experience is an asset but not required if you bring strong housing expertise.
   
• The initiative. You are a self-starter who thrives in an autonomous role and can research and apply solutions. You have a high level of initiative and take ownership of tasks and responsibilities, proactively seeking to learn and improve processes.
• The consulting skills. You have a positive and personable attitude, approaching problems with patience, empathy, and tact. You are customer-focused and solutions-driven, working with a sense of urgency to effectively identify and resolve client issues. You have professional communication skills, including translating complex technical processes for a nontechnical audience. You can build and nurture trusting and influential relationships with customers and internal teams.
• The flexibility.  You are willing and able to travel to client sites up to 30% of the time to deliver training or implement solutions.
