Senior Software Engineer, Infinity
Who we are
At Aquila, we invest in category-defining B2B/B2G software companies globally, acting as a thought-partner, striving for the success of our companies in the long term. We are a well-managed, profitable company that operates like a startup with the financial backing of a parent company. For our people, this means limitless possibilities.
We are unapologetically unique, pivoting to respond to the needs of the multiple markets we operate in. We have ambitious goals, and we are looking for genuine contributors with integrity, energy, flexibility, and loyalty. We are investing in building future leaders who can take an idea and make things happen.
Who we need
Infinity Software has been part of Aquila since 2021. We build software that helps alternative lending institutions lend money to all individuals regardless of their financial history. At Infinity, we recognize that the only way for our clients to perform better is for our software to outperform the status quo, surpass the competition, and exceed expectations. Our highly customizable platform delivers functionality to manage loan products, marketing campaigns, collections, analytics, and reporting with precision and efficiency.
Reporting to the Manager, Development, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer. As a senior developer on a high-performing Agile team, you will work alongside full-stack developers, front-end specialists, QA, and DevOps resources. You will contribute to the R&D board, managing your own projects while guiding offshore developers and technical contractors. You will ensure high-quality, resilient code that meets business needs and exceeds client expectations.
This is a full-time, fully remote position within the United States or Canada.
What’s in it for you
Reinvention, not maintenance. You will help reinvent a massive, mission-critical platform: modernizing the UI, shaping new design standards, and supporting the system’s migration to Microsoft Azure. You will get hands-on with scaling, APIs, and service-driven architecture while owning projects end to end.
Real-world impact. The code you write fuels financial access for people underserved by traditional systems. Infinity’s software powers billions in transactions worldwide, and your contributions will directly shape that reach. This is work that matters—backed by a team that values collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Growth and opportunity. Infinity gives senior developers trust and autonomy. You will influence technical direction, join R&D efforts, and have access to CSI’s global best-practice forums, conferences, and knowledge-sharing networks. With the scale and support of Constellation Software behind you, your career path can take you deeper into architecture, leadership, or opportunities across other business units.
How you will make an impact:
- Development. You will write resilient, scalable, and high-quality code in C# for back-end development and HTML and JavaScript for front-end work. You will test your own work before passing to QA, ensuring functionality and reliability. You will work on projects ranging from new feature development to system enhancements and third-party integrations.
- Technical leadership and mentoring. You will guide offshore developers and contractors from a technical perspective, providing mentorship, coaching, and best practices. You will collaborate with senior developers and the Technical Lead to solve complex problems and design effective solutions.
- Collaboration and problem-solving. You will translate business requirements into practical solutions, review API documentation, and implement features according to product team priorities. You will actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, and design discussions to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge sharing and process improvement. You will document processes, share lessons learned, and provide feedback on workflow enhancements. You will support a culture of continuous learning and knowledge exchange across the development team.
Here’s what you bring:
- The technical expertise. You have in depth software development experience, working with C#, HTML, JavaScript, and Microsoft SQL Server. Familiarity with ASP.NET Web Forms is a plus. You have experience with DevOps practices, testing, and maintaining code quality. You are comfortable learning new tools, APIs, and frameworks. You can create efficient, scalable solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and contribute to system architecture.
- The flexibility. You are available to work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time to collaborate effectively with your team and ensure timely delivery of projects.
- The drive. You are eager to learn, curious, and proactive. You quickly come up to speed on new releases, tools, and technologies, including APIs, automated workflows, and emerging platforms. You thrive in fast-paced, autonomous roles, take ownership of your work, and apply a growth mindset to continuously improve skills and outcomes.
- The solution focus. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and client-focused with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills. You identify patterns, reference prior resolutions, and build upon existing documentation to deliver effective and reliable solutions.
- The leadership. You provide technical guidance and mentorship to offshore developers and contractors, ensuring high-quality delivery. You coach team members, foster collaboration, build trust across teams, and support professional growth. You work closely with senior developers to drive best practices, contribute to system design, and achieve team objectives.
- The interpersonal skills. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to build relationships and earn trust with ease. You communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, translating technical guidance for non-technical audiences. You are a collaborative team member in a virtual environment, responsive, exercise sound judgment, and show respect for differing perspectives.
