Sales Executive
Who we are
At Aquila, we invest in category-defining B2B/B2G software companies globally, acting as a thought-partner, striving for the success of our companies in the long term. We are a well-managed, profitable company that operates like a startup with the financial backing of a parent company. For our people, this means limitless possibilities.
We are unapologetically unique, pivoting to respond to the needs of the multiple markets we operate in. We have ambitious goals, and we’re looking for genuine contributors with integrity, energy, flexibility, and loyalty. We are investing in building future leaders who can take an idea and make things happen.
Who we need
Fame is a business unit of Aquila. For over 45 years, Fame has been a trusted partner to post-secondary schools. We recognize the challenges career school administrators face in managing their institutions, from streamlining operations to ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. At Fame, we provide the support and tools needed to navigate these complexities and run academic institutions efficiently. Our student information systems, supporting tools, and Admission CRM Software, including powerful EDlumina, help simplify and streamline these processes.
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, we are looking for an ambitious and driven Sales Executive to join our team. You will play a critical role in introducing our innovative software solutions to new customers across a close-knit, high-impact industry. You will build trusted relationships with business leaders, gain insight into their operations, present the measurable value of our offerings, and close deals that make a real difference.
From leveraging incoming marketing-generated leads to independently identifying new opportunities, you will foster engagement and interest in our business model and value proposition. This is a full sales role with strong demand, short sales cycles, and clear ROI for clients. You will be empowered to grow your territory, exceed targets, and earn uncapped commissions.
This is a remote-first role with the ability to travel to client meetings, trade shows, and industry events across your territory.
Who you are
You are a hunter who thrives in entrepreneurial environments. You know how to execute a sales strategy, find and follow leads, secure meetings, and close deals. You are seeking a meaningful opportunity where the solutions you sell address genuine problems and deliver tangible benefits to clients. You are resilient, results-oriented, and motivated by purpose, performance, and professional growth. You are ready for the kind of growth that only comes from joining a company where your drive and success are recognized.
What’s in it for you
Impact. You want to sell a solution that makes a meaningful impact for clients, enabling greater efficiency and improved operations by addressing real business challenges. You are energized by consultative sales, where listening carefully and building trust leads to long-term partnerships.
Rewards. This role offers strong earning potential with a competitive base salary and performance-based commission.
Career Development. As part of Constellation Software, we offer opportunities for senior management training, internal mobility, and career advancement. We are committed to investing in your success through mentorship, coaching, and resources to help you achieve your goals.
Here’s what you bring:
- The experience. You have experience in full-cycle B2B sales, ideally in higher education or trade schools such as Cosmetology. You have the hustle and persistence to prospect, follow up on warm leads, nurture interest, and close deals. Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is an asset.
- The track record. You consistently meet or exceed quotas. You know how to identify needs, present relevant solutions, and create a compelling case for action. You can present clearly, handle objections professionally, and build trust quickly.
- The relationship building. You are a persuasive communicator who understands how to tailor messaging to diverse stakeholders. You possess professional verbal and written communication skills, the confidence to deliver presentations, and the ability to effectively influence decision-makers.
- The mindset. You have the hustle to succeed and are goal-oriented. You are adaptable, organized, and calm under pressure. You thrive when given ownership and have excellent time management and planning skills.
- The flexibility. You have a valid driver’s licence and are willing to travel 1-2 times per quarter to client sites, trade shows, and in-person meetings as needed.
